“I am writing to thank you for selecting me for the 2023 Sean Massura
Memorial Scholarship. I am grateful for your support of my continuing
education.

It has been a busy time since graduation. I have been looking for a second
job, as well as enjoying spending time with my family. I know that I will be
away at school soon and will miss my brothers, friends, and the homemade
meals. My family also took a trip together to Greece for 2 weeks. This made
me even more excited for my big move to Ireland for college.

I will leave for Trinity College on Sept 9th. Once I get to school I will have 2
weeks of orientation and work on setting up my international student
residency requirements. I’m excited to start my classes and see how they
are different from Lane Tech. I feel prepared, but also a little nervous. I’m
sure my first year will go by quickly and I’ll be back in Chicago next summer
before I know it! In Ireland, students are able to work up to 20-hours per
week, but thanks to this scholarship, I will be able to start school without
worrying so much about loans and more focus on my studies.

Thank you again for the generous scholarship you awarded me. It is with
great joy and appreciation that I accept this scholarship, which will
undoubtedly have a profound impact on my educational journey and future
aspirations. ”
